We had our virtual fundraiser last night for an organization called Beloved Asheville. The non-profit organization provides hurricane relief to people in Asheville, North Carolina dealing with the aftermath of September’s Hurricane Helene. I’m delighted that we’ve raised over $5,000 so far, and I’d love it if we could double that amount now:

On September 26-28, 2024, Hurricane Helene ripped through parts of Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, South Carolina, and North Carolina.

While the media tends to cover such catastrophes and then move on, the people who experience them are living with the consequences for months and even years. Western North Carolina, particularly the city of Asheville, has been damaged in ways that have tragically affected their community.

To give you an idea of the devastation, here’s my conversation with Amy Pamensky, who along with her partner experienced the worst hours of Hurricane Helene in Asheville:

Tuesday, November 12, we gathered for After the Storm, a virtual fundraiser to support the hurricane victims of Asheville. We were joined by several residents who testified not only to the trauma of Hurricane Helene, but also to the miracles that emerge as people support one another in its aftermath.

I hope our fundraiser will be one of those miracles. Donate now.

Let’s do for others what we would wish, should we be in such a situation, that others would choose to do for us.

To healing,
Marianne Signature
